Tour Details
We'll begin this tour by picking you up from your hotel or riad in Fez. From there, we'll head west until we reach our first stop: Volubilis.
This ancient Roman city is home to the most important archaeological remains in Morocco. Once there, you'll have between 1 and 2 hours of free time to explore the site, admire its impressive mosaics and colonnades, and feel the grandeur of the Roman Empire on African soil.
After visiting the ruins, we'll continue to Moulay Idriss, one of the country’s most significant pilgrimage centers. This town features one of the most picturesque and peaceful medinas in Morocco. You'll have approximately 1 hour to explore this small holy city, named after Idriss I, founder of the Idrissid dynasty and believed to be a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. A place with a truly unique atmosphere!
Our third stop will be Meknes, the most understated—yet perhaps the most authentic—of Morocco’s four imperial cities. You'll have free time to enjoy lunch and visit the city's must-see spots. We recommend strolling through the souk, admiring the imposing Bab Mansour Gate, and enjoying a mint tea in the lively El Hedim Square.
After an activity-packed day, we’ll make our way back to Fez, dropping you off at your accommodation in the late afternoon. The total duration of the tour will be approximately 10 hours.
