If you're after an adventure, we've got it sorted! On our Rio Verde Trip, we'll set off from Cocorná and discover the mountain scenery, crystal-clear rivers and flora and fauna of eastern Antioquia.
At the designated time, we'll meet at the El Palacio de los Frijoles restaurant and hop into our jeep. We'll then start driving deep into Antioquia's forests to kick off our adventure.
When we get to the village of Boquerón, we'll spend 1 hour walking down the canyon through beautiful scenery. As we walk, we'll be accompanied by the mules that'll be carrying the equipment for the activity.
Let's go rafting! We'll listen to the guide as they tell us about the safety regulations we'll need to follow and then hop into our rafts to start making our way down Rio Verde. Our route will take us through 15.5 miles (25 kilometres) of waves, whirlpools and class III and IV rapids.
Once we've reached the halfway point, we'll stop to have a delicious picnic lunch. You'll also be able to take a break to swim in the natural pools of Rio Verde and explore the hidden waterfalls.
We'll hop back into our rafts and start tackling the best rapids, which are found in this second stretch of our route.
Our activity will finish at the Samaná River bridge, where the drivers will be waiting to take us back to our initial meeting point after a total of 9 hours.

On the first day, we'll do the rafting activity in the Rio Verde as described in the itinerary above. Afterwards, we'll come to the riverbank and set up our hammocks so we can get some rest. We'll end the day with a delicious dinner before getting some sleep.
Rise and shine! We'll wake up and prepare breakfast while you take a refreshing swim in the river. Our first activity of the day will be a hike through the canyon and along a stream near Rio Verde. We'll then hop into our rafts to explore some secluded areas and secret waterfalls.
Feeling peckish yet? We'll pause to have a picnic lunch and continue rowing. Keep your eyes peeled, as you might see some exotic birds flying overhead!
We'll finish rafting when we come to the Samaná River bridge. From here, we'll take you back to our meeting point from the day before and drop you off at 5 pm.
Our 2-day trip includes 1 night's accommodation at a campsite that has hammocks.
