We'll pick you up at your hotel and set off to Popayán. After a journey of 2.5 hours, we'll reach this city located in southern Colombia, very close to the Andes mountain range.
Founded in 1537, Popayán is one of the oldest cities in America. You'll discover why it's known as the “White City” by exploring its streets and admiring its beautiful Colonial buildings. We'll soak in the local atmosphere and culture by visiting its market.
During the tour of the city, you'll marvel at the main monuments in Popayán, like the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, the Church of San Francisco, the Clock Tower, and the Church of Santo Domingo.
Then, you'll witness why Popayán was named a City of Gastronomy by UNESCO by enjoying a delicious lunch including typical dishes from the region at a local restaurant: grilled trout, rice, and salad.
After lunch, you'll have 1 hour of free time to stroll around Popayán's Colonial streets before we begin our journey back to Cali.
