Delve into the tradition and culture of Buenavista with this tour through the coffee plantations of Quindío. You'll taste this star product for yourself and enjoy a typical lunch!
Quindío Coffee Tour
At the designated time, on the morning of the tour, we'll meet at the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Buenavista. From here, we'll begin a pleasant route through the coffee plantations that surround this Colombian municipality.
Throughout the tour, we'll talk about the coffee tradition of Quindío and how this aromatic product has influenced the rhythm of local life. Do you know how coffee is planted, or how many families make a living from it? What's the coffee culture like in this region of Colombia? We'll answer all these questions and more as we walk through the plantations.
Halfway through the tour, we'll stop at a typical farm that produces coffee, bananas and other fruits. Here you'll have the opportunity to talk to the family that runs the plantation, learn about their lifestyle and discover the production processes that each coffee bean undergoes. Then, we'll take a break to enjoy a typical Quindío lunch accompanied, of course, by a delicious cup of coffee.
Finally, we'll return to Buenavista, after four hours exploring the coffee plantations of Quindío.
