Paiva River Rafting Tour
At 10.30 am, we'll meet at Rua do Barco to start this rafting activity on the Paiva River. Ready to get your adrenaline pumping in this unique setting? Welcome to the Arouca Geopark!
Once we get to this natural site, we'll first briefly explain what the rafting tour will be about. Afterward, we'll put on our life jackets and helmets, and head to the starting point of our rafting adventure in the Paiva River.
Onboard the rafts, we'll start speeding down the white waters. During the tour, we'll pass by the main points of geological interest in this area of northern Portugal, such as the Paiva Gorge, the Cascata das Aguieiras or the beautiful Praia Fluvial do Vau.
What's more, we'll also raft near the famous 516 Arouca bridge - did you know that it's the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world? Its footbridge towers 175 meters over the Paiva River!
Lastly, we'll end this rafting activity at 2.30 pm back at the meeting point.
