On our Terceira East Coast Tour, we'll discover why the Azores archipelago is considered a breathtaking paradise on Earth. We'll see how its lush, green vegetation blends with the deep blue hues of the Atlantic Ocean.
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point and start this unforgettable tour of Terceira's east coast.
Our first stop will be at the Facho viewpoint, from which we'll look out at breathtaking views of the Praia da Vitória municipality. We'll also see a bronze statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the patron saint of the city.
Afterwards, we'll climb up to 1,778 feet (542 metres) above sea level towards the Serra do Cume viewpoint. From this spot, we'll see the island's vast plains covered with farms that are bordered with volcanic stone walls and decorated with hydrangeas.
We'll then start our descent towards the sea, passing through some of Terceira's picturesque villages. When we've finished making our descent, we'll arrive at the Porto Martins natural pools, which are surrounded by rock formations bathed in the Atlantic Ocean.
Aboard the vehicle, we'll pass by the Fort of São Sebastião, a military defence structure built in the 16th century to defend the island's coastline. We'll then visit the Porto Judeu viewpoint, the perfect place to see incredible views of the Cabras Islets, two volcanic outcrops where hundreds of birds reside.
Following 3 hours of sightseeing, it'll be time to finish the tour back at the starting point and say our goodbyes.
